Halloween horror movies might only seem fit for frights, but there are actually a few that our promotional models can take fashion cues from! With the resurgence of vintage fashion and old Hollywood glamour, Alfred Hitchcock’s thrilling flicks, and their beautiful and classic leading ladies, are perfect for our fashion inspiration.
Style plays a part into Hitchcock’s murder mystery thriller Rear Window in the form of Grace Kelly’s character. Her fantastic clothes are some of the few things that draw Jimmy Stewart’s eye and camera from the window where he fearfully watches the apartment where a murder supposedly took place. A classic screen siren, Kelly has pristine clothing and accessories as well as timeless makeup. Her red lip is still a major makeup trend today.
Like Rear Window, Hitchcock’s thriller Vertigo also follows the story of a beautiful woman (who turns out to be two women) and her effect on Jimmy Stewart.
As you can see, although the films themselves have plenty of twists, turns, and terrifying moments, the elegant fashion and classic style are definitely not a Halloween horror story.
