Although Halloween can often be a day to dress unseasonally and uninhibitedly, we expect more from our models… and our modeling agency employees! Don’t take the easy route and dress like a sexy nurse, cop, construction worker or other municipal servant. Don’t try to sexify costumes that otherwise would not be sexy, like sexy lumberjack or sexy girl scout. And remember, Halloween is really for kids, and what kind of example are you setting for the holiday frivolity of young girls if you look trashy?
Sexy Taxi Driver? No!
Sexy Minnie Mouse? No!
The problem of sexy halloween costumes really comes into play when we are influencing children. It seems like adult costumes would remain separate from little girls’, but apparently there is a trickle-down effect happening. What happened to the days where you would dress up like a bunny rabbit or a bumblebee? My favorite costume of my bygone days was the year I went as one of the 101 Dalmations. I certainly wasn’t trying to go as sexy Cruella DeVille when I was 8 years old! See this video to see how kids’ costumes are getting out of hand.
Get clever and creative this Halloween, not trampy!
